Canondale Road Warror 500 vs Cannondale Street 1000
I'm looking at a bike that will be used throught the British summer for commuting on heavy urban roads, 7 miles each way. It will also be used for the annual 2 week fully loded tour.
Has anyone any experience of either of the two bikes ?
The two frames are very similar, but are they identical in terms of geometry ?
Would the gearing on one bike be better for one thing and the gearing on the otherr better for the other ?
Also as the Road Warrior seems to have a much lower spec, not as good gears, not as good brakes, and none of the add on's such as mudguards (fenders in the USA), chain guard, dynamo, rack, lights, double sided peddles etc etc. how come the cost is almost identical ?
For thr Americans, the spec of both bikes can be found on the Cannondale site under European models, as if the City 1000 is available in the USA it's called something else.
