This is a 4 x 6 inch array of 18 LEDs. Very bright. Easily seen in daylight. 1 mile visibility at night. $40 from Harris Cyclery. I bought two Saturday morning and someone else had gotten one just before me. These are really impressive lights, brighter than my home-brew 10W. Because of their larger surface area, I think they will be even more effective in fog. Powered by 4 AA batteries, 60 hrs in blinking mode. Only real problem is that they are so big if you don't raise your seat much it is hard to find a place to put them.

That thing is HUGE. Nice one!
ps. for those too lazy to find the link, it's here (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/reallite/index.html)
Jesus Christ Margaret would ya look at the size of that thing! My God its deformed!
Looks like it would make a great pizza warmer off the bike! :D
You could always hang it around your neck!
I use blinkies in the daytime and will not stop. (This is a huge one! :D )
I'd be worried that with that much light, any aircraft in the area may mistake me for the local airport. I'm worried enough about cars running into my back wheel, but a 747, that's a real concern.
I saw one of those in action about two months ago, before the time change. Impressive! (The rider also had a "Blowtorch" front light.)
