I'm after the 11-34 megarange but just can't seem to track them down.

I'd been looking for a 6 speed freewheel that had fewer than 13 Teeth on the smallest cog and couldn't find one in 6 speeds (or 7). Don't think you're going to have much luck in new (maybe vintage). Looks like from your link that Shimano may have made one at one time, but I think you and I are SOL. If you do find a source, post back here. Cassettes seem easy to find, freewheels, not so much.

Well,SURPRIZE! SURPRIZE! Looky what I found...... It seems that the hubs on E-Bikes take the same freewheels as bicycles,WHO'D A THUNK THAT!

You can get 7 speed 11-32 FREEWHEELS(other speeds also),NEW,by a company called DNP.They make parts for E-BIKES.

I don't know about the "stash," but I have a spare 26" MTB wheel with a shiny 11/34 freewheel on it. Not simply trusting my memory (bad idea) but went out into the shop and looked. If you don't do any good PM me and we will check cost to mail it to you.

Old SunTour New Winner Pro freewheels went down to 12 teeth for 6-speed and 7-speed freewheels, and I think there was a special setup to go to 11 teeth on the 6-speed. Huh, I've screwed up my indexing and haven't bothered to fix it so I've been running friction lately. I wonder if I could just leave it friction and throw a 7 speed freewheel on there without too much trouble. Probably not worth it (would have to get freewheel removal tool and possibly a new chain) but it's an old mountain bike that I've converted to a dropbar commuter so it's spaced at 130 mm so it should fit if I decided to go that route. Indexing is nice, but I've occasionally felt the need for more gear inches than my 46x14 can provide currently.

Having an issue with this freewheel,very poor quality has rendered 6th gear useless due to chain slipping on that gear..

Even the cheapest freewheels work. What exactly is the problem ?? Might be something else causing it.

No 2 teeth are cut the same..this thing is super low quality
In 6th the chain can't grab the cog so it jut slips at certain spots.

Teeth are often cut differently to aid in shifting. It could be the chain, or adjustment, or a bent derailleur or hanger.

According to Sheldon Brown, Shimano stopped making these several years ago. I suppose it's possible that a shop still has some of these in their back inventory, but you'd be lucky to find them.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with yours? Return it for a replacement? Trying to figure out if the one you got was just a lemon or if in general they have poor standards for making them. Sheldon made it sound like it was a complicated bit of re-engineering to design them so maybe these other folks weren't able to pull it off. I'd love to buy one if I could trust I wouldn't get stuck with the lemon you did.

I've bought one of these. Actually the 11-34T one, from Patrick in the USA (I am in Brazil). He very kindly sent me a shiny piece. It is not that cheap, but in the end it becomes cheaper than changing hub, shifter, deraileur, chain... And I love how silent this one clicks! Working great for 1 year now.
