just built a trek slash, it had the reverb stealth on it. the reverb stealth is a dropper seat with internal housing.

the good: no extra cable getting in the way, rubbing on tire, looking all messy and possibly snagging. also you can put the seat tube into the stand and work on the bike without worrying about screwing the reverb up.

the bad: bleeding it. the bleed is at the bottom, so you have to have the bike on the ground, balanced on something, the seat post out and balanced up, everything is leaning on something else taking up a whole chunk of space as your bike is splayed out all over. awkward and sort of ridiculous looking.

not sure if anyone else had dealt with them yet, i'd like to hear your take on it.

For some reason I was thinking you work at a shop...do you have a dual bike work stand? You could clamp the bike on one side and the post on the other.

i do (which is why we were building the bike, it's not mine), and we do. but the cable isn't long enough to do that. it is a great idea, it just doesn't work.
