Probably a long shot, but can anyone recommend a good 60-ish mile route? I'll be there this weekend, and will have my road bike with me.

I was down there for work wishing I had brought my road bike. Check out the climb up 198 into the Sequioa National Park. You can drive up a ways to get rid of the flat stuff. Beware there was construction in the park (1-lane, signaled) halfway up. The views are amazing and the roads are great (aside from the construction zone). Turn around when you've had enough....

Awesome, thanks! Will do it one day, and maybe find something flat the next. Patterson destroyed my legs, they still sore lol.

So did a ride. Well kind of. Due to time constraint started right outside of town, around 8. Traffic wasn't too bad. It did start to pick up around 9 thought. For most part road had a nice shoulder for the first 11 miles or so. The terrain is kind of a rolling terrain that slowly gains elevation. I did have to turn around at the entrance to the park. Rangers wanted me to go back and wait in line behind all the cars breathing all the nice fumes and pay full price for a privilege of riding 30 minutes in the park. So I just turned around and went climbing one of the side roads, Mineral King. The pavement wasn't the greatest. It wasn't Coperoppolis bad, but more like Tunitas before repavement. Probably a better climb then 198 since there is almost no traffic.
