Thought I'd just post a pic of my Bob Jackson World Tour frame build - 631 Reynolds steel, just finished.

I'd built up my 1985 Miyata 100 with all the components a year and a half ago in anticipation of the new frame.
For a number of reasons it took longer to get round to ordering. I'd looked into a custom frame from Mercian, but in the end went for an off-the-peg Bob Jackson. Big difference in price.

The rest of the bike is nothing earth shattering: Mavic A719 rims, XT hubs, LX trekking crankset and derailleurs, DA barcons, Avid SD7 V-brakes with Tektro RL520 levers, MKS GR9 pedals, Tubus Logo rack, Aliante Life saddle, GatorHardshell 28 tires. Workhorse stuff I guess.

More to the point a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone on BF. I've learnt so much from reading, sometimes asking questions and always receiving invaluable and helpful advice. You da BEST!!!! :D

First big trip's going to be from mid january around the S.Island of New Zealand and a jaunt either north from Bangkok up through N.Thailand and Laos or south to the thai islands - I'll decide that one at the crossroads in Bangkok ;)

I'll post a "fully loaded" pic in the sticky later on.

So, how does it ride? Do you find the MKS GR9 pedals smooth?
