Google Health is a service set up as a tool to help you track personal health-related information. For the last few months, I've been using it to track/chart my own weight loss trends and improving blood pressure readings. It automatically recomputes BMI every time you enter a weight reading, which is nice.

Unfortunately, Google is killing the service as of January 2012. They recommend using MS Health Vault as a replacement.

Is anyone else using Google Health?
Are there any GH users who've switched to MS Health Vault?
Anyone have any alternative ideas?

Thanks!

In that case I'm not going to bother to check it out.

We used Health Vault at work. It lets us share radiological imagery with doctors at other clinics, and do 'correspondence' ( letters ) with the patient. It's hugely complicated, and meant for large-scale hospitals and medium sized doctor offices. Pretty cumbersome for your purposes.

I've been using SportTracks, which does almost everything you want, although I don't think it has a blood pressure field.

Hmm.... sounds like good stuff.

I'm not content with what I've been using, and tired of jumping around to different sites to log stuff..... even getting lazy and not wanting to be bothered anymore.
But -- IF ANYBODY CAN ADVISE SOMETHING -- I'd be appreciative.
Information I can measure on my own might include the following:

Total each of protien, carb's, fiber, sodium during the day
Heart rate & blood pressure upon rising in the morning
Average bpm & max' bpm during exercise
Type & how long exercise
How long & how well slept

What I would like to learn from entering this information into some program might be to include:

Am I getting the correct balance of nutrients?
Is my exercise in alignment with my caloric intake?
Could I be over/under training?

And by the way....
one those gizmos worn throughout the day on yer arm..... I think I've heard it referred to as a Bug? It records information while you sleep, exercise, walking around during the day, etc??? And I guess you download info' from it to a program or the 'Net..... ANYBODY KNOW 'BOUT THESE THINGS?

I'm an old fat guy who will have nobody with whom to share the twilight of my life. If I don't reverse the trend of my last 25 years with something healthier, growing old(er) will become increasingly more problematic with every passing year.

As I get healthier, and my BP approaches normal levels without using medication, tracking it will become less critical to me. The main reason I'm so interested in it now is simply because my doctor tells me, in my case, it's driven completely by my weight. As my weight comes down so will my BP levels, and I'll be able to come off the BP meds that I'm on. That's a real incentive if you ask me.
