Not much to do in Saskatchewan, as usual, eh Kevin?

newmtb, what you are lloking for are indeed called liners. I think this is what you're looking for at Nashbar (http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=70&subcategory=1150&brand=&sku=5720&storetype=&estoreid=), and this is the same thing at Performance (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.html?SKU=12943). Here is MEC's Andiamo Padded Underwear (http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=14691&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=434035&bmUID=1018874632520). All things, concidered, I'd say just wear lycra bike shorts... But what do I know, I'm a roadie.

Hey, it IS Stella!
velocepidio is on target... the best thing to do is buy the lycra biking shorts....I am a new roadie and old lady mtn biker...the benefits of the lycra shorts is they do not get caught on your seat when you have to ride behind the back wheel and go back on the saddle during/after a steep descent.

If you want to go the liner route:Performance bike and nashbar have the best prices.

Keep asking the mtn biking questions: it is how we all learn.
