Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Alright, long story short, the wife's saddle is not cutting it. Its a Specialized Jett saddle that came original with her 2009 Ruby. I understand that there is no one saddle to solve all "issues", but what has been everyone's experience with replacing their saddles. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Some shops over actual sit bone measurements. I think it's a Specilaized system, but not positive.
It may be a bit tuff to convince your wife to get her butt measured - even though it may be the best way to start in the saddle hunt.

Yeah, we'll definitely have to do some type of measurement...but I tend to think that maybe a saddle with less foam, flatter and a slight ridge down the middle might help. Fizik has some good looking saddles...hopefully we can get one as a loaner from our shop. Thanks.

No saddle that originally comes with any bike seems to work.
Saddles are as personal as shoes and cleats. What works for one doesn't necessary work for others. And difinately men and women have different needs.
I and other ladies do like the Terry Butterfly - it comes in different variety - I like the Ti. I tried Fi'zik saddles, didn't work for me - hopefully your wife will have better luck.
Go to teamestrogen.com and their online community and research "saddles" you will find thread after thread after thread.... finding the right saddle is one of the mysteries of the world.

Thanks!!! Going to check them out, thanks for the response! Terry Butterfly here we come :)
My wife uses a Serfas WDD Arroyo women's specific saddle on her road bike and a Selle San Marco Aspide Glamour women's specific saddle on her track bike. On her mixte she has a Brooks B72.

Well, picked up the Terry Butterfly Ti Gel saddle. So far so good, after a few adjustments, it seems to be working.

So it's a saddle for your wife's bike, not for your wife. This thread is not as interesting as I thought.

I ride with a Terry Butterfly on my mountain bike but I have a Specialized Dolce on my road bike and prefer it over the Terry.

My wife tried out a couple different saddles (Fizik...Terry...etc.) and ended up with the Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow.
She's been riding it for 10 months now without a complaint besides the corny flowery embroidery on the back.
We are natures fingerprints however...everyone B different.

So far, so good, on the Terry. Now to deal with the heat...
