This might be a dumb question so apologies in advance but...
I need to replace the worn pads on my bike - a Kona Jake the Snake 2010 - which has Kore Race cantilever brakes, but the new pads are somewhat thicker than the old pads so I can't fit them without loosening and adjusting the brake's straddle cable at the pinch-bolt, but this means that the cable hanger is no longer exactly centred over the wheel - does that matter or do I need to adjust the cable hanger too so that it is centred? I can fit thinner brake pads but the Koolstop Eagles that I've bought look like they'll last longer.
