Last summer there was a thread on Sam Macdonald's memoir The Urban Hermit, a book detailing how the author turned his life around through weight loss. Mr. Macdonald joined the forum and contributed a couple posts to the discussion. In one he mentioned he was entering a trail run up the side of a mountain. Outside has Mr. Macdonald's entertaining account of his run up Hyner View:

After reading that piece, all I can think is "the guy should take up cycling instead."
