If I ever break mine I don't want to have to drop $15 or so to replace it. Are there any generic ones? I keep coming up with binder bolts that are keyed. I know I could always go the route of grinding off the key, but I'd prefer to buy install-ready.

There are at least a couple of less expensive brands (Sugino and Kalloy come to mind) that may still sell replacements for the Campy unkeyed bolts and will be just as strong. It's been awhile since I've needed one so unfortunately can't remember where to look. You may have the best luck at your LBS that can order one or may have some old ones in stock. Just measure the dia & length.

Loose Screws sells replacement bolts for $4 (http://www.loosescrews.com/index.cgi). They are keyed as you noted but saving $11 would make a few minutes with a file well worth the effort to me.

Of course you coluld just buy an M8x1.5 bolt and nut the right length at any hardware store. Wouldn't look good but would be a fast installation. :)
