Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Even the pricey mission workshop bags have this squirrelly lifetime warranty. Seems like a sneaky way to slap "lifetime warranty" into blurbs on your product. Wouldn't most reputable companies handle any defects in their product? If you're going to offer a lifetime warranty, make it a real one like craftsmen tools, buck knives etc.
I wish badlands made a good backpack for biking

"REI Gurantee
Our 100% satisfaction guarantee ensures that every item you purchase at REI meets your high standards—or you can return it for a replacement or refund."
From other online discussion groups, I read that there is no time limit; similar to Costco's policy.

I'm a big fan of REI. Prices aren't the best but sometimes I buy from them because of their guarantee.

About 10 years ago I bought an REI rain jacket for biking. Used it a couple times. Then it got moldy in a closet. Washed it per instructions and it totally disentegrated. Took it back to REI, told them it was honestly 10 years old... and they still gave $60 credit for it. Wow!
I generally only shop there during clearance sales for good deals.
If you shop there outside of the sales, REI then stands for: Really Expensive Items.
