Hi,

I recently picked up a set of Mavic CXP22 wheels off a fellow cyclist. I should have been more careful but sometimes I overlook things.

In this case, the rear wheel has a Campy Feehub...I have a 10 speed Shimano Cassette. Haven't tested fit but it probably won't match.

My question is, can I remove the campy freehub from the rear hub and screw a Shamino one for the 105 on, or am I sh**t out of luck on this one?

If the hub is campagnolo, brand campanolo what u could is to locate the shimano freehub body made for the hub, Campangolo had them in the market and I believe still does. Wont be cheap.

Definitely not,

but you might be able to get a matching (to the hub) Shimano freehub for this wheel from Mavic.

Freehubs aren't interchangeable across different hubs. While the exterior dimensions are standard for Shimano, or campy, the hub/freehub interface is unique to each model.

Sorry I should have mentioned the hubs are Formula (Not sure on model)

Is the freehub interchangable on a Formula hub?

If they offer both types for the same model hub (or wheel) than they're almost certainly interchangeable. The question is whether the freehub you need is available.

BTW- this isn't a like glitch, but double check that the freehub is the only part that changes, and you don't also need an axle or any other parts.

Gave up on this wheelset, resold to someone with campy components for same price I got them for. Now on the lookout for a wheel set with the right freehub
