The pedals on my bike are original to the bike. There is no visible way to lubricate them.
I usually take them off, support them in a vertical position with the threads up and slowly drizzle 80w-90 into them from top to bottom.
I would like to take them apart so that I could grease the bearings and avoid the mess with the oil. The problem is that the bolt going through the rubber blocks is peened over and you can't unscrew the nuts. There is no screw driver slot in the bolt heads. Impossible to hold onto.
I was thinking of grinding the"peen" off but then there won't be enough threads left to give the nut a good grip and may come loose on the road.
Any ideas? Should I just keep doing what I am doing?l
