Wanting to mount a light (or maybe two) to the fork for a couple of reasons. Thing is, my fork has no mounting points for a rack, so I can't get something like the Gino. Found this (http://www.amazon.com/Minoura-Besso-Headlight-Mount/dp/B004E3V7YM/ref=pd_sbs_sg_1) on Amazon, but not sure if it will be stable enough (despite the customer reviews). Any thoughts?

That nob isn't bad, but I have my doubts as to whether it could accommodate a lockblock or lockblock plus a TBD light(s).

That Minoura Besso Headlight Mount is not a bad mount. I have two of them mounted to my drop bar and holding my larger reflector flashlight. Over the years, it has yet to break or even slip although I have yet to try fork mounting.

NITTO Lamp Holder 5 - Skewer Mount (http://www.benscycle.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3760)

ATOC Lo Beam Light Mount (http://www.atoc.com/litebeams.php) (the one attached via the skewer in the first photo):

These mount the light quite low; shadows are cast by this low mounting plus it is somewhat lower than motorists are looking for a light. Supplemented with a helmet or handlebar light is a nice combination with this low a light mounting (and having two independent lights for redundancy is a also good idea).

I have the ATOC and it is quite light but sturdy. The tab in the second photo fits in the dropout slot and prevents it from rotating.

Well, I've been using two of the Minoura Besso mounts on the fork of my LHT. The lights used are battery powered LED lights (Blackburn 3.3 & Planet Bike 1 watt Blazer). Generally, only 1 light is used in blinking mode at a time during daytime hours. At night, I found that the pair worked fine, with the Blazer running is steady mode, with the Blackburn in flashing.

In addition to the Nitto and ATOC, Velo Orange carries the Low Down Light Mount Type I for $25:

No interlocking tab to prevent rotation as on the ATOC, but I would think the considerable tension on the skewer would be sufficient to prevent rotation when the skewer is tight. Seems well-made per the description: "They start with a solid aluminum rod, turn and drill it and press in a steel insert so the threads won't strip."

You can always wrap a P clip around the fork blade, and put a bolt thru it,
and screw down one of the mount tubes, mentioned above.
