Hey folks! Just picked up my wife's new full-suspension folding bike: the 2010 Dahon Jetstream P8. Rides like a dream!

This one's an eight-speed ride with a front and rear shock... Its pretty affordable too!

The front shock, its now a RST suspension instead of the German-A

Ahhh... the rear shock.. adjustable for a smoother ride..

Eh? Where the hell did that suspension fork come from? I've never seen that before.

Good observation.. the German-A suspension was missing this time, replaced with the RST suspension.. At least these are what we get here in Malaysia..

It certainly gives the bike cleaner lines. I had a 2007 Jetstream P8 for a while and found the parallel linkage suspension didn't really move much. It was stiction-free alright but being non-adjustable I couldn't coax it to be more active. Perhaps this fork has a little more travel.

Despite having owned one and gotten rid of it I want one again now. oops.

Thanks for the close-up bike porn pics. Most bike shops I go to don't have a Jetstream in stock. It's a really beautiful bike. I have a question. I bet you probably tried out both bikes, I was wondering how you like or thought of the difference between the front suspensions? And what year is your bike?

I used to have an old jetstream. I was never satisfied with the cushiness of the rear or front fork. I know one guy here ended up installing a thudbuster on the seatpost. That kinda defeated the purpose of a full suspension ride, IMHO. Anyway, would like to get your opinion of that new jetstream. See if they've improved on the model.
