Hi,
I recently bought a repainted steel Scapin road frame and i have a problem with the headset, i can't find one in my hometown. People here don't really know specifics about parts especially the ones that are not standars NOT ISO (i.e. BB dimensions, headset dimensions, stem dimensions) and can't tell me what headset i need. Having this for guidance http://www.sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-headsets.html i measured the diameter where the crown race sits and its 26.4 , 26.5 (measured many times). The crown race must have a smaller diameter in order to sit snugg on the fork right? I went to every LBS and every crown race is bigger in diameter and moves on the fork.Opinions?
Today or probably tomorow i will measure everything and post here the measurements.

You have a standard ISO crown, nominally 26.4, but actually 26.45 to create interference. Unless you're in Japan where JIS (27.0) headsets are more common, you should have no problem finding the correct 1" headset. If you're totally unable to fine one, PM me as I have a bunch of new old stock 1" threaded headsets, and can take care of this for you.

BTW- take a moment to also measure the ID of the headtube, which should be 30.2mm or a bit under. Measure it in 2 directions in case it's slightly oval and average both for the true size.
