Originally was going to put Bourough armadillos on but the rep for specialized suggested these instead. Took them for a 44 mile ride yesterday and here is what i have to say so far.

They feel very responsive and are very fast for the size of 26 x 1.75. Took them over gravel and some decent cracks in the road and it performed very well. I will keep you posted on how they hold up in the long stretch. was told that i should get around 2-3k miles on them and will be very happy to see that. Running them at 70 psi but can go up to 100. brought my average speed up from 14mph to 17-19mph. oh and im riding them on a specialized hardrock. Will keep you posted.

okie dokie. 100 miles down on these tires and they dont even look used in the least. i have ridden them on back country roads which have expansion cracks and lots of heaving. no nicks or scratches in the least. feel very responsive and need to be inflated to at minimum 70psi. Ill keep ya posted on tread life.

Armadillos are the best when it comes to flat protection. I did over 5,000 miles on one without a single flat (700 X 25).

I don' t use the Elite, I want protection.:D

Put it on 3 weeks ago. Now has 330 miles but that's not anywhere near time to even think about it being worn. ;)
