So I picked up this bike from a guy off Craigslist for a...lets say decent price for a bike like this in Vancouver...anyways, I can't find any info about it! As you can see from the picture the paint is in great condition, so it makes me wonder if it's...real. There is a small sticker near the base that reads the 86-87 campione del mondo but i've read that the sticker does not mean that is it's name...right? I'm lost guys, and as you can tell I'm new to all of this and would greatly appreciate any help I could get!

Looks to me to be a late eighties Bianchi Champion d'Italia. Better pictures, depicting things like brake type and make, cranks set, derailleurs, and the like, will help with identification. You can also attempt to determine the bicycle's vintage by applying some of the information contained in How Old Is My Bike? (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/FREE_SITE_VINTAGE/VINTAGE_1_Start.htm)
I hope this is a help and nice find. I love the Celeste green Bianchi bicycles and I often wonder why I let this old Rekord 848 (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/Feature_Bicycles/Feature_Bicycles_Itlay/Bianchih_Bicycles/Bianchi_848/BIANCHI_REKORD_848_1_Start.htm) go???

Hello BianchiBoy, I was not on much the last two days. OK the Canadian bikes are a bit different from ours but I will do my best. the '68/87 Campione del mondo decal would make it a '87 or newer (atleast here in the states) but that decal style came out in '88 to '89. do I spy a Quattro group? Modolo Brakes Ofmega cranks and deraileurs? (the derailleurs were made Suntour) what is the tubing Columbus/Bianchi... what? Formula or Formula 2
a shot in the dark would be that you have a '88ish Campione de Italia.
