hi There, trying to sell a bike for a friend and i'm not sure what its worth or what model it is.

Its a red R600 2.8 Aluminium with serial number GKB 151207501 BON54. Its has shimano RX 100 rear brakes, continental23-622 tyres. can you tell i don't know bikes :)

If there rear seat stays meet the chain stay before the axle, then I agree,more than likely a 96.

in 97, the frame returned to the traditional design, the seat stays met the chain stays at the axle.

seat stay, bar/tube that comes down from the back of the seat.
chain stay, tube that goes form the pedals back to the rear axle (parallel the chain).



Red arrow: See how it meets before the axle and not at the axle?
