I'm getting ready to build a Kuota Kalibur and the guys got a broke seat post, which i heard was fairly common with this bike. I cannot find a seat post to replace it on-line and i've sent Kuota an email but does the seatpost have to be Kalibur specific or can a Kleen or K-Factor or some other carbon seatpost work.
I know they make 74*,76*,78* just cant find them.

Why? It's a high end bike, and the customer would (should) have known that when they bought it, and it has proprietary / specialist parts, which will always cost more than lower end parts.

Have you call Kuota america in quebec? they should have those ones in stock if the seatpost is well known to have issues.
For the record is not that high price, the BMC streampost ones are like 350 bucks or more.

because he got the frame cheap, and was going to swap over all his parts from another bike and the only cost is labor and some cables and the seatpost so for under 600 he'd have a kuota but that just jumped up to 800-900

It's like people who bought used E-type Jaguars really cheap because "it only need a new clutch". A clutch replacement on those things doubled the cost.

Sadly there is no way to know unlsee u have other brands around, to know what another brand could work just fine with that thing. None of the manufacturers post the size or shape of those seatposts. I would call to kuota america to find out if they have some moving around. Never seen one at ebay anyways.
