Mountain Biking - Just what the dr. ordered

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have been having a horrible and frustrating time regaining my confidence after breaking my collarbone very badly a few months ago. I decided to hit our most challenging, longest trail with the most technical and fastest descents as well as the longest most technical uphills. I warmed up on the practice loop which is maybe 1.8mi as I recall. I was feeling great. I hit the 13.6mi trail and came out afterwards with a total time of 1hr 8min which may be my fastest time yet. I was stoked because I didn't bail on a single descent... I rode them all out, drop offs and all. I sliced through a deep sand pit at the bottom of a long fast hill at around 25mph... I don't think I have ever felt so good on a bike before. It was just what I needed! Oh and the bar ends helped :p
im looking forward to a similar day, maybe in a month or twos time.i managed to break a finger twice and dislocate it on a mechanical rodeo bull(i'm sure there's a snappier name,it escapes me) last sunday.got an operation on it next tuesday to wire it up, which im not looking forward to.wish me luck!

Nice, I love (and nowmiss) days like that, thing click and the fire relights. Always hard after an injury to come back, but once it happens I have always found the time off helped my riding.
Congrats
