Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I need your opinions on Hamstrings. My "hammy" has been sore for 2 months. I have taken it easy for a month and it still hurts. I fully understand the importance of stretching; but I want to know when this soreness is going to go away? I am going to start to race and I do not want problems. Does anyone rub on those gels that I have not used since Hockey practice in High School?
Gentle, slow stretching and moderate exercise are good. Ballistic stretching and/or excessive loading will exacerbate your problem and ****** your recovery. Unfortunately, soft-tissue injuries tend to heal slowly.
Are you warming up before you stretch?

I have been streteching after a warmup only at bike races. I do not stretch on training rides. I also stretch at night watching TV
