Touring - The Berkshire Mountain Tour
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Last week, I did a five day, three state, 234 mile solo, self-supported tour through the Berkshire Mountains in western Massachusetts, eastern New York, and southern Vermont. It was quite the adventure riding out Tropical Storm Irene, climbing the mountains, visiting the falls and covered bridges, etc... The link below contains the whole story and there is a link at the bottom to a slideshow of the photos. Some of them turned out pretty good.

We have a house close by, nice area and great ride. Good job.
Sounds like some nice tours around my neighborhood. That rails to trails would be the Ashuwillticook Railtrail and the large lake must of been the Cheshire Reservoirs which makes nice ice fishing and a popular boating destination for fishermen here....
If you have hiking shoes with you the Cheshire Cobbles is about a mile off the rail trail there along where the Appalachian Trail crosses the railtrail.
nice pictures, the Harlem Valley Railtrail is a very nice trip in the fall folliage...
Those windmills are on Brodie Mountain which you probably saw on your way to VT along Rt 7...
