So I recently bought an older Trek Transit Deluxe kid trailer for my bike (my little one is getting to be the right size for it). The seller said she didn't have the hitch attachment and said she saw it on-line for $20-ish. But when I got home I found that I couldn't find it anywhere, and my LBS said they couldn't order the part needed either.
I'm tempted to just use a dremmell tool on the Hurley trailer hitch my LBS proposed (head is a bit big but I can grind it down to fit), but I was wondering if anyone knew where to find rare out-of-model Trek accessory parts on-line. I feel kind of odd modding something that my kid is going to be riding in.
