Bicycle Mechanics - Ultegra 6703 shifter only dumping 2 gears on rear drlr, is this right?

I was out on a ride with a couple guys that were talking about the merits of Shimano vs Campy and the guy with Shimano said he could dump 3 gears at a time on the rear derailler. My Ultegra 6703 is only dumping 2 gears. Is this right? It seems like it'll shift the first two gears fairly early in the "sweep" of the brifter, but then it would go all the way to the end without the third "click"

Any ideas on if this is normal for this shifter or what could be wrong?

Yes. The previous 6600-series would downshift three cogs in a full sweep, though.

So they reduced the number of gear dumps in the most recent version?
