So, I'll start this off with saying yes I know there are many other way better forks out there. I dont have the money for them so...

Now with that out of the way. I have been looking and cant find any reviews of people who have really raced on this fork, but since they are on sale once again it has entered the realm of possible purchase. So I was wondering what the word on the Nashbar CX forks were. I weigh 250lbs and am really not easy on bikes. I race single speed CX in the clydes cat.

Last season I used a Crosscheck. This season I have a steel frame that is lighter, stiffer and faster. However, I need a fork. I hated the crosscheck fork but loved the steel. I do and dont trust carbon, less so on a CX course. My other option is something like the nashbar cro-mo cx fork. Only issue is the weight. While the cro-mo fork will bring my total bike weight back up to that of my crosscheck (porting was not my weak point) I am concerned about strength if I go with carbon.

Will I regret the carbon fork this season? or should I go with tried and true steel? The weight reduction would be nice but also the peace of mind while I hit a big dip is equally as nice.

Thank for the info!:thumb:

Even at 250 lbs., I would concern myself with the life of a carbon fork. Go ahead and buy it. That's my opinion.
