Thanks!

So I've been thinking... I'm planning on biking my first century, and it's coinciding with the time when I've lost 100 pounds. So why not make a game of it? Has anyone ever tried doing this before? A "Bike Your Lost Weight" challenge? I suppose the deal would be, every time you lose 10 pounds, you try to bike what you lost. Ergo, so I'd do 100 miles, then I'd have to try 110 miles in 10 pounds, etc.

It might suck for those of us who lose quite a bit, but I'm thinking I might try doing this. Wish I had started sooner... :D

I know in the 50+ forum they do "Birthday Rides", where on your birthday you bike your age. This would be similar I suppose!

Fantastic milestone to reach! Congrats :thumb:
The milestone marking rides do sound like a nice little challenge too.

Mirthrandir; congrats on being 1/3 (plus or minus) of the man you use to be!! I remember the day I stepped on the scale and saw 190 pounds! It was a great day!! The only painful part was I had lost 40 pounds ten year before and had gained that and 30 pounds more back! So here is to you keeping it off and losing the other 100 plus you want to lose! Oh, I will not be joining you in cycling my weight lose 108 is a bit more than I desire to do at this point; I returned to cycling the end of July after walking off the weight for two years. I will say cycling has jump started my lose again so making my next goal is appearing more likely!

Not on purpose. I reached my goal of 100 pounds in June and rode a century a few weeks before...

I'm very happy to see you make it. It took me two years.
