Hello everyone! Been reading around here for a few weeks. Feel like my head is spinning.

I've been on a fitness kick lately, some weight training and eating better than I ever have in my life. Dropped 15 pounds last month, from 227 to 212. I was trying to figure out how to get more FUN cardio into my week. Then someone gave me an untouched Trek 7300.

I took it out a few times and 2 things quickly became obvious. #1 I loved riding. Rode 20 miles on the Iron Horse Trail and felt GREAT. Had a blast. #2 The bike was WAY too small for me as I started to get some various aches that didn't seem right. It was a 15" and I am 6' tall.

Sold the bike yesterday on Craigslist and immediately went out and purchased a 20" Trek 7.3fx. Basically the same bike I had, but bigger.

I really don't know where this is going to take me, as I tend to get super into things for a short period of time, but I like riding and there are a ton of places to do that around here. Goal # 1 is to drop the remaining 12 pounds and be under 200 for the first time in my adult life.

I grew up in Monterey, so I also can't wait to get down there and run the bike path from Pacific Grove to Seaside, or Marina, and back, and then smash into a clam chowder bread bowl from the warf. Maybe as soon as my new bike gets delivered!

Look forward to talking to you all!
