It's a gun dude. If you're seriously considering naming it, you probably shouldn't own it.

flaming_burrito
11-25-04, 09:19 PM
well, i own it and there's nothin' you can do about it!!! AND I'M NAMIN' HER!!! :D

Aren't you a little young to be owning a gun?

slvoid

I don't think anyone who's trying to name their gun should own one...

Twenty-Guage? How about "Nancy"?

How about "spatula?"

Raiyn
11-25-04, 11:04 PM
It's not a pet sparky. This ain't "Full Metal Jacket". Your weapon doesn't need a friggin name and if you think it does you're not mature enough to own one.

wow your going to name your gun....

I agree with Raiyn. A gun isn't a toy. As far as I have been taught a gun is a tool and a damn dangerous one at that. You don't name a gun, you don't play(I use the word "play" loosely here) with a gun, you use it and you only use it under EXTREME circumstances.

How do you know it's a her? I see a fairly large shaft on that baby.
Any way...why not keep it simple. "Bob".

flaming_burrito

my primary uses are: clays, bird, and deer. i don't own any rifles, otherwise deer wouldn't be in the list.

Beautiful gun. I have been looking at getting the same thing in 12ga. Don't listen to all the liberal no-gunners on here, name away! I don't have any suggestions for you though.

Liberal no-gunner?
I got a full auto glock that says otherwise. But the point everyone's trying to make is still valid. You have to be psychologically sound and mature enough if you want to safely own and handle a converted glock 18 9mm that fires 1400 rounds a min and fits in your back pocket.

Deer? Dude, get a rifle! Don't make em suffer with a weak a$$ 20 gauge!

As for a name, I liked Skeeter....or maybe Clay!

I think Nancy is the best suggestion Yet.:lol:

You are going to try and kill a buck with a 20ga?

WorldWind

As far as clays …. Great idea, I think a 20g would make a great indoor skeet gun.

Oh my!! I see I am not the only one appalled that this 14 year old boy owns a gun and plans to name it no less. Mercy...what were his parents thinking??!!

forum*rider
11-27-04, 11:45 PM
while we're at it do you need us to name anything else? Might as well put it here while everyones in a "name the inanimate object" mood.

I didn't realize that he was 14; yeah, that is a bit odd.

well, I'm 15 and I own a gun. Just for shooting targets though and my dad keeps it in his safe where I don't have access to it unless he takes it out for me to clean or we're going to the range.

pitboss

I would name it "The person holding me has a chemical imbalance"

Disaster Monkey

Your nickname would be good for a shotgun - "flaming burrito".

I've never felt any need to name my guns, except my M14, 'cause that one reminded me of Full Metal Jacket. I sold that one, though. The only inanimate object I have that I've named is my motorcycle, "Peggy", short for Pegasus, my iron horse with wings. :)

Name your gun if you want. Just try to avoid talking to it.

Karldar
11-28-04, 06:06 AM
Hmm, can't think of anything, really--oh, how about 'Karldarina'? That's a good name--rolls off the tongue too. I figure if people can name their pets, cars, bikes, computers and/or genitalia they should be able to name their firearms. I mean, all that stuff can kill ya;).

And in two years, his parents will buy for him, help him to buy, or allow him to buy an automobile, truck, or SUV. Any idea how lethal one of those is?
