My chain on my 1976 Raleigh Superbe was lost in US Customs coming in from Canada. I'm not joking. Can I replace the original one with any 1/8 " chain? Any reccomendations will be appreciated.

1/8" for 3 speeds 3/32" for 5,6 (7, 8). ie derailleur

They must have disassembled a link to remove it from the frame!
