hi there, i've been lurking these forums for a short while now and i decided i would make an account.
As a dutch guy I have been riding a bike all my life for general getting around purposes, but i recently borrowed an old steel road bike from a friend and have been riding it around the area for fun. It's a looker as well, old school bianchi in celeste color with downtube shifters (not a fan of those though).
I've been a long time fan of cycling on TV (go rabobank!) but never actually did any cycling myself, now that i started i don't think i'll ever want to stop. After i started riding i browsed the internet for discussions and such about the topic and ended up here. I am in the process of buying a bike for myself and i needed some information, luckily i found the best LBS through a local site that takes pride in their work and does good measurements and such!
Anyway i'm going to be doing my first group ride this week and decided i'd make an account to start posting my experiences as well.

so to all of you: Greetings from the netherlands, i wish you many more great kilometers on the roads/trails/tracks :)
