What I want to know is where is the best place to get parts for this old Schwinn? How do I know the most appropriate substitute brand part is for it?
I am a newby and have been riding a friends Raleigh and this is my first road bike. I am now up to about 10 miles a day and looking forward to getting in shape for the Olympic Peninsula this coming June. Since I'm in Florida, this is going to take some effort.
Any help would be appreciated on or off the forum

P.S. If I understand past postings correctly, the 1293 means the bike was made the 129th day of the third year of 1980. Or 1990? How do you know which one?
