Basically my old `80's KHS uses a bolt-thru rear axle which has 16mm head sized nuts attaching it to the frame.
I took the rear hub apart to service the bearings and one of the cones is totally fubar'd, it looks like the cage retaining the bearing on the freewheel side of the hub exploded inside there and the cone tip is 1/2 missing from wearing on the aftermath.
Ideally I'd like to throw a quick release setup on this wheel, and I have a spare 700c 7spd rear wheel that I'd like to convert to, but I have nice new continental ultra sport tires on the bike that I got right before finding the new wheelset that I want to wear out before making that swap.
So, tl:dr, can I upgrade the rear wheel to quick release for cheap, or what do I need to measure to ensure I get a replacement axle set that fits?
I found these on ebay and was curious if it would work?

does the size of the cones matter at all? I'm pretty sure my hub is a suntour.
