Hello,
My name is Bill, I have been back cycling for a short period. I last cycled on a regular basis when I was 16 and needed to get to a friends’ house, but in the last 18 years I ride about every year or so; usually in summer with my brother who is an avid cyclist. About 1 year ago I decided to take my son on the front of my bike to get him outside and get me more active, and let my wife nap.

In the last 2 weeks I biked to work when the weather permitted (a total of 5 times) before I was hit by a pickup truck. It was a low speed impact and I broke a finger and bruised a bunch of stuff, ruined a Fuji Adventure, ruined a helmet and a cracked the grill on a Toyota Tacoma. I will be poking around here a bit looking for some safety tips and tips on a new road bike. I am not in a huge hurry as I need to mend a bit before taking to the road again.
