Hello fellow cycle junkies!
I've been stalking this site for quite some time and I finally admitted to myself that I am indeed a cycling addict!
Took me long enough!
I've been riding for as long as I can remember...actually some of my earliest memories are of me faceplanting off my sweet chrome 16" wheeled bike into a bush, or seeing my kneecap when I wiped out off my SUHHWEEEET Ninja Turtles BMX. Always been a cyclist, never been very good at it!
It kicked in again a few years ago. I wanted to be more active. Bought myself a Jamis Ranger SX 2.0 and beat the heck out of it. Years later...being a fresh Marketing graduate in a crappy economy, I took a job building bikes at a great local shop here on the Island. Perhaps the best work experience of my life. It wasn't long before I added a Stumpjumper and a Caad 9 to my garage.
I have moved on from the LBS, professionally that is...they still get all of my money! Now my hobby is picking up older bikes and tuning them up for family and friends.
I look forward to many fun and successful posts on this site. I thank you very much for welcoming me.
(Oh, and I traded that Jamis for a super cool Rollfast 3 Speed, I may need some help figuring out exactly what it is!)
Keep on crankin'
