Ok, yeah, apparently every new forum member gets the urge to post a few million times on their first day, but you guys seriously saved my bacon tonight. Literally. I was up late reading the forums when I heard *CLUNK*. My fridge just gave out! Fortunately I have a friend a few apartments away.

This post has no point.

Hey, I've got an old fridge you can have and I've been to Austin--used to be stationed at Ft. Hood. Come on up and get it-only a 13-14 hr road trip...um, one way, that is.

This post has no counter-point to your pointless post...I reckon.

The great thing about apartments is that when things break, the replacements don't come out of my bike money.

Except for the ice cream. I *liked* that ice cream.

Yeah, I bought a house last year so any breakage does come outta the bike budget.

"They killed RedHairedScot's ice cream! You bastards!"

Well, if mine goes out, we just put everything outside in a box on the porch. I guess there are advantages to living up here.

No real point to this either, just thought I'd contribute in a meaningless way.

Check what happened. Usually it's fixable.

fridges are surprisingly fixable... many times it's just the compressor or something similar.. $200 for repairs vs $500 for a whole new fridge.

Pfft, fridges are useless.

Living in Toronto you can just leave your stuff outside hanging from a tree?
