Alexi Grewal - Trying to come back into racing. Has done some races, not winning, yet, though. Carpenter by trade.
Sean Kelly - Manages (?) or at least lends his name to a pro-team out of Ireland; color-commentary for Euro-Sport.

The other two,

Roche lives in France and owns a hotel there, and of course supports his son and nephew, both World-Tour pros (Nicholas Roche and Dan Martin)

Phinney living with Parkinson's disease, working his foundation and supporting his soon-to-be-world-beating-son. Still married to Olympic Gold Medalist Connie Carpenter Phinney

I think Greg Lemond trumped their accomplishments to such an extent that all of them retreated from cycling and now choose to live out their days as hermits.

Just had to thread crap huh?(and we were getting along so well) couldn't help yourself, they have medicine for what you have.....Then Lance came along, and blew everyone out of the water, and became numero uno Cyclist, all while having multiple needles full of EPO's, hanging from his arms, and calling out" I am the greatest evah", after crossing the finish line.... Lemond, upon hearing this, retreated back to Minn, started polishing his 3 TDF trophies, and now lives out his life(as the others do as well), as an invalid and a bitter, bitter man.(rollseyes)

Hinault freaked out, and wondered if his 5 titles would ever be remembered, and Miguel Indurain is in an insane asylum.

Actually he is black, he can say whatever he wants about blacks and use the word black too.

"Jimmy Rabbitte: Do you not get it, lads? The Irish are the blacks of Europe. And Dubliners are the blacks of Ireland. And the Northside Dubliners are the blacks of Dublin. So say it once, say it loud: I'm black and I'm proud. "

Hampsten is alive & well. Lives in Italy. Owns/runs Cingiahle (sp?) Bike tour company. Met him recently. Definitely quiet personality, but always willing to talk w/us fat cyclists as he easily drops us up the climbs.

Andy runs a bike touring company in Italy where he is still quite popular, and he also co-owns a bike shop. Here is the website of the shop: http://www.hampsten.com/

Laurent Fignon passed, but not before he released a very good book called, "We Were Young and Carefree."

Raul Alcala, believe it or not, won the 2010 Mexican national TT championship in his mid- forties.

Sean Kelly, as well as being the colour commentator for Eurosport, does various cycling-related stuff including charity work. And he has the distinction of being my favourite cyclist ever, an unbelievably tough competitor. I remember my own incredulity when he won Paris-Nice seven times in a row. "he can't be going to do it again, can he? Yes, he can." Amazing.

Alexi Grewal - Trying to come back into racing.

I think he's given up. His website's gone. He ran some kind of Christian summer camp in Colorado for a while.

Stupid question I know: Diablo posted a vid from the 'Tour De Trump", how long did this event stick around, why didnt it become more successful, and do you think it will ever return?

Another from my personal collection:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbHNk5oZQK8

Tour de Trump was 1989 and 1990, then it became the Tour du Pont for another 5 years before it died.
It was a fun race but it was more hype than substance... lots of short stages and circuit races intended to attract more fans but had the opposite effect. Plus... it was before Lance!
