Great Lakes - paved trails near minneapolis

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'll be in Minneapolis in early October.
Can anyone point me to paved bike paths near Minneapolis.
25+ miles would be great.
I've tried to google map it but I can't tell if it's a dirt trail or road or...
My girlfriend and I have just 1 day to ride while we're there but we have no clue where to go...

Perfect!

Mostly all of the trails withing the city proper/near suburbs are paved - Cedar Lake, Miss. river/ Lake Calhoun to Hopkins/Greenway etc. Once you get to the outlying metro areas (like Shakopee), there are some very nice crushed limestone trails as well.
The Grand Rounds tour is nice ride - bike paths and parkways

I second the ground rounds, but there are lots of options.
Here's the crowd sourced map with _lots_ of details on hills, conditions, etc.
