Hi Everyone,
My name is Shawn and it has been more than 10 years since I have actively riding my bikes. I started again in June and have been riding ever since. Most miles have been put on my mtn bike with slicks and now I am riding my old road bike. I would like a new bike but I don't have the money for it yet.
I get up at 5 am to ride before work, get between 45 and an 60 minutes in before I have to head to work. On the weekend I ride more.
I am getting addicted to riding. Thought nervous about the upcoming winter. Lets see how dedicated I am during the cold winter months.
Lets go for a ride.
Shawn
Welcome to BF, Shawn. What kind of bikes do you have? Any pics?

Hi Dek. I have two bikes. I have a Specialized Stump Jumper with a mix of XTR and XT components. It is a hard tail with an old Rock Shox Judy XC on the front. I have had it for a long time. I also have an old Phillipe road bike. It is a stealy. It has columbus SLX tubing. Shifters on the downtube. It has an old style cassette that I have not found a replacement for yet. It has a 54/39 up front and a 11-34 in the back. The shifters are 105s. The front deralliuer is Dura-ace and the back is Sante. The frame is quite pretty. It has a pearl powder coat on the main triangle and the front fork and rear triangle are polished. I will take some pics and post soon.
I see your miles so far this year. That is impressive. I am at 487.1. I looked at my tracking on mapmyride and see that I started riding the last week of June. Had only 1 ride in June. So maybe I should say I have been riding again since July.
Does anyone else use mapmyride or similar app? Is there one better than mapmyride?

Welcome to the forum!
A lot of riders use mapmyride. Check out the regional forums, people in your area might have posted some of their rides there.
You should also post a photo of your pretty frame in the Classic & Vintage forum.

Will do CbadRider. I need to get a good picture of it. I taped the bars and well lets say two things, I picked a bad color for it, and two, I did a bad job. :) I will post one after this weekend.
