Hello fellow members! My name is Billy, I'm 22yrs old and I'm from Houston, TX. I've recently discovered a passion for bicycling a few months ago. Have been riding inconsistently and am wanting to get into good shape and attend the cycling events. Just recently bought a Specialized Secteur Elite from my cousin since he just got a new Orbea. Trying to land as much seat time as possible. So far I've been averaging about 15.4mph on 15mi rides. Have plenty of time to go to attend the BPMS150 ride may 2012!

Glad I found this forum and hoping to find great advise to help me excel in this sport!

I'm new myself. Been riding since March of this year and up to 4500miles to date with speeds up around 18.5-19mph.

WOW! That's a lot of miles! How often do you go riding and how many miles each time?

I ride 20-25miles every morning M-F and a long ride (60-80) on Saturday or Sunday. Doing my first century Sunday in the Tour de Pink in Prairie View.

Cool my cousin is also riding the Tour de Pink as well. He rides along with Urban Bicycle Gallery as so will I once I better myself. Got about 7-8 months to prepare for bpms150
