hi, i am looking to buy a hybrid for commuting to work in the city (4 mi each way) as well as for light trail riding (e.g. C&O Canal near Washington, DC and such). i REALLY like Cannondale Quick 3 but the only thing different I would like are disc brakes. was wondering if anyone can recommend a bike that is very similar to the Quick 3 but has disc brakes.

It might be worth saying what it is about the Quick 3 that you really like. It'll make it easier for others to suggest an alternative.

I was going to say the Cannondale Quick CX3, but then I noticed that it has 24 speeds with a 28/48 triple, when the Quick3 is 27 speed with a 26/48 triple. I like the sensible gearing on the Quick 3...

Hmmm, I love my Quick 3. Can't say that disc brakes would make it better. In fact, they would make it heavier and a bit slower...
