I went to my LBS today to look into getting some form of winter tires for my Allez since its starting to snow now. The owner sadly told me that there are no knobby tires that can be put on my bike becuase of how close together the forks are on race type bikes like mine. What are my other options?

Buy an old bike. Slap on spiked tires. Make sure there's room.
It should be a cheap piece of crap; because road salt will
destroy it.
What are your options?
You should be able to fit these on a cyclocross bike? HAKKAPELIITTA W106 700x35C 37-622 35/32. I just can't see putting studs in a 23 or 25. Just a suggestion. Thats the best I can think of.
