After occasionally dropping in here I've taken the plunge and signed up.
My man interest is classic steel-framed British road and touring bikes.
I've recently semi-retired and emigrated from Oxford in the UK to Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada. Moving was a spur to restoring my old F.W. Evans tourer that I had built for me in 1977 and I've also brought a fairly special Condor with me along with an assortment of other bikes and parts. I'll put a couple of threads in the Classic and Vintage sections about them once I've got some photos I'm happy with.
In my spare time I've been exploring the island and the local bike shops and this is certainly a great place for cyclists in terms of scenenry, climate, routes and local biking culture.
I've also been compiling classic bike related weblinks into a sort of online newspaper and hopefully some members here might find it interesting.

Look forward to hearing from people and learning more in this great forum which I hadn't properly appreciated until recently.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
