Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Recommendations for a helmet mount for an 18650 flashlight/torch and an 18650 charger

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a 1x18650 DX flashlight that I currently use on my handlebars. (something like this http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-wf-502b-ssc-p7-csxo-3-mode-900-lumen-memory-led-flashlight-with-clip-1-18650-1-17670-36357).
I'd like to move this light to my helmet. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable holder?
Also, my 18650 charger only works on one side now (i.e., it only charges one battery at a time). Anyone have a recommended charger?
Thanks.

Plastic zip ties work great if you don't need to remove light.
I've used this charger since 2008:

Pila chargers are great and extremely reliable.
I use a wine cork cut into a shim to angle the light up, and a large O-ring looped through the vents of the helmet to hold the light. It's been dead solid for several years.

This is the answer to your question. It is 18 gr and secure. Easy on off. Leave the mount on when not in use. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/exposure-helmet-mount-bracket-kit

This is great. Any chance you could post a photo of this setup so I could see how it works? I'm not sure I get how you would attach the o-ring without having a clip or something perpendicular to the light.

I used a big-ass rubber band — but you could use a Livestrong band, or something like it.
I looped it around one end of the flashlight, down though a helmet hole, up another helmet hole and over the the other end of the flashlight.
Stupid simple ... but it works.
With one of the flashlights I slipped something (a piece of foam, if I remember right) under the head to aim it to the angle I wanted.
With the other flashlight, the angle was fine.
Either way, it worked, and it was easy to remove.
I'm a big fan of zip ties, let me tell you, but this was easier to handle and adjust and worked just as well.

My flashlight is attached to the helmet 1st by 2 medium sized
rubberbands that I "borrowed" from work. Then I wrapped it in
a reflective ankle band that I got for free from a local advocacy
group, Bike New York. Oh, the helmet was free from NYC DOT.
Flashlight is a P7 claiming 900 lumens.

Buy this (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal-nylon-mount-for-flashlights-and-lasers-12000) from DX for less than $3. That new Romisen pictured can run a 18650 or CR123's, so you know your light will fit.

+1 on Pila charger and I use the zefal doodad plus which is a pump rubber bracket and strap, but works perfectly for a helmet light

Here's a round-up of li-ion chargers. Lots of info for you to make an informed choice. The long and the short of it is pay for a good charger and don't buy some 'bargain' from China.

I'm another fan of Pila charger. I own two of those and they are the best charger I have so far. However I am in a market for a six bay 18650 charger and been eyeballing a Xtar WP6 II. I've been using two torch that each uses 3x18650 and want to charge all six battery in one charger. So instead of three Pila at total cost of $150, I think that Xtar at $36 is a good deal. Reading reports of it seem to place it above cheapy charger but below Pila. They also have a 2 bay (Xtar WP2 II) for $17.

I use a helmet light mount from Batteryspace (http://www.batteryspace.com/helmetmountingkitfornightprohidhalogenlight.aspx), a Cateye reflector mount (http://www.shopcateye.com/products.php?product=SP%252d6-clamp) of the proper diameter. For the light I have, a SP-6 clamp works best. You may need a different diameter.
