This is a bike I picked up as part of a package deal with another bike that I wanted for my wife.
By looking at the serial number, and by checking the 1985 cataloge, it looks like its a 1985 Fuji League. The components all look as though they are still stock.

As you can see from the photos, it has had a repaint and not a very good one. Upon closer inspection, the toptube has some rust bubbles under the John Deer paint. The bike is in need of a complete overhaul including new tires.
I would like to connect this bike with somebody who is looking for a winter project. Any thoughts on the value of this bike?
Thanks in advance.

Value given it has a poor repaint and rust issues is as a donor. If you can use the parts, I would strip it and keep them in the bin for your next find. As a project, it won't bring much, and the parts may be worth more to you.

I see good LePree derailleurs, good bars and stem, a decent crank, decent wheelset, bottom bracket, headset, seat post, good brakes and brake levers. Stuff like that adds up. But sold as a complete needs work project (given the rust and rattlecan paint), will bring very little, perhaps what the wheelset alone is worth.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess I'll just keep the bike around, maybe I'll have a go at removing the respray to see just how bad the rust is. Either way, I do know that I could use the wheels for another bike that I have.
zazenzach, if I do end up parting it, I'll be in touch.
Thanks again.
