Introductions - Hello From Colorado

Hello, I found this excellent forum while searching for maintenance info. I hope to learn a lot about keeping my bikes running well.

I ride for exercise and adventure. I'm currently riding my 05 Giant Sedona LX. This thing is built for comfort; I really like it.

I also have a Diamondback mountain bike I bought in 1992, one year after I quit an 18 year smoking addiction. I saved enough money in one year, by not smoking, to buy the bike, and spend a weekend in Aspen riding it.

I still have my Schwinn LeTour, which was made by Panasonic. I bought it in 1981 after a nasty experience with a psycho girlfriend. This bike literally changed my life.

Before this, I had a Raleigh 3 speed that I rode for many years. When the first Schwinn Stingrays came out, I built my own, from my first "2 wheeler". Then my cousin got a brand new "Orange Crate" for Christmas. I almost killed myself on that thing. It was long before anyone had ever even seen a bike helmet.

It seems like you have a nice stable of bikes. Which one is your favorite?

Thanks. I love all three of my bikes; they are like old friends. I primarily ride the Giant. With more of an upright riding position and suspension, it rides like a Cadillac, while my Diamondback is more like a Jeep CJ. They are both fun, but the Giant is easier on my body. And, I really like the disc brakes on the Giant.

I haven't had the Schwinn out in a while. It's time to air up the tires, and lube it up. I guess it's actually getting to be kind of a classic.
