Oh. The good ole days. My fastest ever commute to work....way back in 2009. I've been trying to best this time for a few years now...

Yeti Arc-X Cyclocross.

50 tooth bigring with a 12-27 Cassette

10.76kms=6.68595miles in 17minutes 14 seconds.
Max speed 49.2kph=30.57mph.
Average speed 37.5kph=23.30mph.
Average heartrate for ride 154bpm

My second fastest ever time, and my best time ever on a mountain bike with slicks......I did this ride last August. So I think I had the fitness to beat my best ever time. But everytime I tried it on my yeti arc-x cyclocross. Traffic lights and vehicular traffic just weren't on my side. It will have to be a perfect run to beat my best ever time.

1997 Rocky Mountain Cardiac. 1.4 inch Ritchey Slicks @ 75psi. 42 tooth big ring with a 8 speed 12-25 cassette.

10.75 km = 6.67974 mi. in 18 minutes and 1 second.
Average speed of 35.8kph=22.25mph.
Top speed 44.69=27.77mph.
Average Heartrate 148bpm with a peak heart rate of 160bpm.

after some experimentation i decided to go with a less than 60 sec average for my clips, and usually shoot 1-3 in the 3-5min range.

i have the original gopro hero, and want to upgrade as you have done.

Spring has come a solid month early in these parts. Pretty much all the snow is gone. Even overnight lows have been above freezing. What is the world coming to...

Normally this time of year, this road is still snow covered. Not this year....

I've moved. I no longer have my super awesome fun commute. But my new commute is fun too. In a different way. I have 2 fun options. One is all paved and one is mostly gravel. Here I am scouting out the gravel option. I'm looking forward to attacking it as a time trial once my fitness improves....

Here is a tour of family camp/cottage. There is some great riding out there for a mountain bike. Poorly maintained forestry roads with some brutal, one pedal stroke away from having to walk kind of uphills.
