Advocacy & Safety - Never Criticize a Man's Genitals, or His Driving

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A Southern California man has been arrested for purposely driving into two pedestrians after they criticized his driving habits. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/09/angry-driver-hits-pedestrian-in-redondo-beach.html

How could this happen? I have seen many people here on A&S assure me that motorists don't react in anger and use their vehicles as weapons (in spite of what many cyclists have experienced). I'm sure it was just an "accident" and the L.A. Times is engaging in some sort of yellow journalism.

Oh Hen, NEVER, NEVER go into the comments area of a bicycle related news story. That is a dark, scary place where the dregs fester and rot. :)

What if you're hunting for the dregs?

Then, at least hunt for fresh, un-rotted ones. ;)

So I was smart not to comment when I saw the pickup with oversixed tires that had a set of brass balls hanging from the trailer hitch.

I know my first reaction was that the driver had those to make up for his personal lack of same.

And your second was to post your clever conjecture to BF? Not as smart as you think.

Hmmmm.......The guy doesn't sound like he is playing with a full deck. Because, How can pedestrians impinge on motorists rights.

I do not comment on a driver's poor performance unless asked.
